Luna is my soulmate.
Yes, she’s a dog, but she feels like my heart’s dog. Like the dog I was always meant to have. I know that may sound cuckoo to some people, but the reality is I love her more than I’ve loved most people. She’s more loyal and loving and understanding than most people. She’s truly my best friend.
I’ve gone through some difficult times this year and it is no exaggeration to say that she’s been my rock, through and through. When I lost my husband, it was like she could just sense my sadness, and she never left my side. She mourned with me.
Truly, sometimes I wonder who rescued who. Luna came from a bad situation with a backyard breeder/dog hoarder, and she’s always seemed so grateful for being adopted.
Even though she faced so much trauma, she never lost that spark in her eye, that prance in her step, that love of walks and playing.
But then…time passed, as it always does.
And Luna grew older. She started slowing down. Old age was getting to her. It wasn’t fair.
The worst part was her eyes growing dull and sad–she couldn’t understand why she couldn’t run and play as hard as she used to.
And then she lost interest in playing all together. She didn’t want to go on walks. She didn’t follow me from room to room like she used to. She just laid in her bed all day. When I took her on walks, she’d walk stiffly behind me. When I tossed a toy for her, she’d just stare at it. At the dog park, she started laying at my feet instead of playing with other dogs.
I couldn’t stand the thought of saying goodbye, not so soon after I lost my husband. I wasn’t ready for it, so I started trying everything I could think of.
I tried giving her supplements, switching her to a raw diet, giving her more exercise. I even brought my Luna to a dog masseuse. (Yes, dog massage is a real thing!)
Some things I tried seemed to help her a little bit (like the raw diet) but mostly, there was little to no improvement and then whatever improvement she got, went away after a while.
Luna only seemed to get worse. Her hips wobbled and her legs trembled.
But, and maybe it was my own selfishness, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye and I didn’t think Luna was ready to say goodbye either. Maybe her eyes didn’t sparkle like they used to, but I could see a little ember of life in them.
Where Luna used to jump into my car herself, now I’d lift Luna up into my car and out of the car when we went to the dog park.
I was sitting on a bench, trying to focus on the book I was reading, but it was hard to focus when Luna was laying on the dirt like a dried-out snail, not interested in even looking at the dogs that came up to sniff her.
That’s when an acquaintance I knew from the dog park came and sat next to me. (To be honest, I forgot her name, so I’ll just call her Kristen.)
“Luna looks really tired,” Kristen said. “She must have played really hard for her to be so tired!” she laughed.
I shook my head sadly, “No, I’m afraid Luna’s just been losing her energy lately. She doesn’t even want to go for walks anymore. My vet said it is just what happens to senior dogs. I’m starting to wonder if I’m being a bad dog-mom by taking her to the dog park when she clearly isn’t enjoying herself anymore.”
Kristen frowned at me, “No, my dog, Taxi, is a 14 years old and he still loves the dog park and walks!” Kristen pointed at her medium-sized mixed breed, who was busy carrying a stick around that was longer than his whole body. It made me smile at the sight, but it also made me sad that Luna wasn’t happy like Taxi.
“I wish Luna could have Taxi’s energy,” I said. “I’m afraid I don’t have much time left with her. Her joints are stiff and I think she’s even getting anxiety from her age.” I bit back my tears.
Kristen looked at me with her eyebrows raised into her hairline, “Don’t be silly!” she said. “Have you even tried Relievet yet? I felt the same way about Taxi as you’re feeling about Luna last year. He was hobbling all over the place and was in so much pain that he didn’t even want to be pet. My vet told me about Relievet though, and Relievet has gotten Taxi back on his feet and back to causing mayhem!” She chuckled, “He’s so mischievous.”
“What’s Relievet?” I asked, trying to get the conversation back on track.
“Relievet is a company that sells treats, chews, and oils for dogs with scientifically backed ingredients. My vet told me that apparently a lot of supplements for dogs sold online don’t have what they say they have in them so it is really important to get it from a trusted source like Relievet who publish all of their lab results online and even have a pharmacist to make sure all the dosing is scientifically accurate to get results.”
I sucked at my teeth, skeptical. “I don’t know, I’ve already tried so many things, I’m nervous about spending more money on this when I don’t think anything will help.”
Kristen shrugged, “They have a money-back guarantee. But I don’t think that will be an issue for you. You just have to be consistent with it though, when I forget to give Taxi his treats in the morning he is stiffer by the evening.”
I thanked Kristen for her recommendation but decided to do my own research when I got home. Could Relievet really be worth all the hype?
The first thing I looked at were the reviews. There were hundreds of great ones.
Here are a few of them I read on Google:

I was shocked to see that they have a 5 out of 5 stars on Google reviews! They also have a 5 out of 5 on the BBB, a 5 out of 5 on Facebook and a 4.8 on their website with over 350 reviews.
It was hard to believe because I’d never seen a business so well-reviewed, but I’d also seen plenty of the reviews mentioning the personal touch of the owner, Chris, so I guessed it made sense. The reviews talked about his personal touch and how he often speaks to customers personally about their dogs and even sends handwritten notes to thank people for purchasing.
You just don’t hear about businesses caring that much about their customers nowadays. Or caring that much in general! On his website, you can even see a picture of him making the products himself.
Seeing the great deal on shipping, all those reviews, and the money-back guarantee, I knew I had to give Relievet a try for Luna. This was our last chance.
I ordered the 2-ingredient treats. I liked to see it was just freeze-dried liver and C.B.D., with no fillers. In case you didn’t know, liver is great for dogs! The reviews said that dogs loved the taste of them too which was important to me because Luna can be a picky eater. Another thing important to me is the price and when I compared the quantity/quality/strength of the 2-ingredient treats to other C.B.D. products from other companies, I realized that Relievet’s were the strongest by far and the cheapest actually in comparison when you look at the strength.
And I also liked all the information they had on the page about why their products are the way they are, and why the C.B.D. should be the strength it is in the treats because so much C.B.D. is lost in digestion and so other C.B.D. dog products don’t have nearly strong enough weight-based dosing.
Most importantly (to me at least) was reading about how safe the products are. They’re as easy on the body as taking something like fish oil and they have the psychoactive properties of the hemp plant entirely removed, so no risk of changing your dog’s personality or making them overly lethargic..
The Relievet treats arrived two days later with packaging that would be fit for sending expensive pottery.

It also came with a cute little fridge magnet, a flier explaining exactly how to use them, and a note from their CEO thanking me for choosing them! I was impressed to see it truly was a small business, giving each customer personal attention.
Just holding the treat jar in my hands, I knew that I was holding a special product. It was nicer than the container most human food comes in! I could tell right away that I would be saving the jar when it was empty because it was such a nice one.
Of course, the real test was how Luna would respond. She ate up the treats enthusiastically, and even started drooling, begging for more.
Next, I sat and waited. And waited. I watched her for the next hour and nothing happened, but what did I expect? Her to start doing gymnastics?
A few hours later, though, I was watching TV when Luna placed her favorite toy in my lap. She looked up at me expectantly, expecting me to throw it. My heart thumped in my chest–Luna hadn’t asked me to play for months. I tossed the toy and then Luna went to it, picked it up, and brought it back to her bed to sleep. She was done playing already–so I thought maybe it was a fluke. Maybe the Relievet wasn’t working afterall.
The next few days, on schedule, morning and night, I gave Luna the Relievet.
At first the changes in Luna were subtle, and I thought I was imagining them or they were a coincidence. She stopped panting at night. She seemed calmer during the day.
Then she started playing at the dog park, she played tug-a-war, she did her dance when I asked her about going on a walk.
The real kicker that proved to me that Relievet works is when I went out of town for a week and left Luna at a dog boarder. I forgot to bring the Relievet with me for the boarder to give to her, so she didn’t get it for a week.
When I picked her up, she was back to being that rickety, sad, slow old dog she had been before I started giving her Relievet.
Now I hope to have a good few more years with Luna, and it’s all thanks to Relievet.
I emailed the CEO Chris, to thank him for creating such a great product, and to tell him I was planning on writing a blog post about his product.
He responded personally, first he thanked me for telling him all about Luna. Then he thanked me for writing a blog post, and gave me a discount code we could share with my readers!
The discount code is: LUNALOVE you can use it to get 50% off your first order of treats!
Clicking or tapping on one of the buttons below will bring you to Relievet, and the discount will show up whenever you add something to your cart.
They make it super easy to figure out what to choose with their Dosage Calculator! Enter your pet's weight and it'll tell you how many treats to use, and how long the jar will last.
As soon as you place an order Relievet's small team will fulfill it as soon as possible and send it via USPS. You'll receive it in just a few days, and can start using it immediately. Just follow the recommendation from the dosage calculator for your pet.
It only takes about an hour for it to be digested, and then your pet will start experiencing the benefits, just like my Luna did!
I’m truly so grateful to have my Luna back. I hope to have a couple more happy years with her thanks to Relievet.
Thanks for reading, and wishing the best to you and your pets.
